In the continuity of her work around the cinematographic image, Armelle Sevre uses artifacts often used in the cinema. Fire, Smoke explosion, will become spaces of fascination for her. She finds a certain ambivalence between great powers of life and destruction.

In the cinema, fire is often a strong element of dramaturgy at the same time fascinating, destructive, unreal, an image that invokes fantasy. The fire is both desire for life and revolt. It will be notably marked by the final sequence shot of the house on fire in the film The Sacrifice by Andrei Tarkovski. Thus Armelle puts the fire to create images. With a formative father gesture she creates cinematographic settings.
