Limited art print from original painting
About Never Kiss :
The artist created this first flagship work in his collection, an oil on canvas measuring 130 x 160 cm, in 2014.
This painting has been the subject of several exhibitions before becoming part of a private collection today. The work marked the beginning of a new series called "Incognito" around the masks of Mexican wrestlers. The masks of the Lucha libre - Spanish Wrestling - where the artist experienced a cultural and graphic shock, a universe that he wanted to appropriate by diverting the symbolic in his various paintings while keeping the kitsch aspect that is part of the wrestlers' universe.
The inspiration for this painting comes from contemporary art, paintings that have touched the artist: the kiss of Magritte's lovers, the sensual kiss of Gustave Klimt or the sensuality of kisses in the cinema, the artist's first source of inspiration. Notably, the kiss in dark light by Faye Dunaway and Steve McQueen in the Thomas Crown case.
